I’ve been waiting for this day!! Caitlyn finally planned her very first party all by herself and I think it’s Gala Gal worthy so I want to share all her fun ideas!
I’m one proud momma since I really had to do nothing other than spare some change for the decor and food AND calm her nerves to assure her that everything would turn out great just minutes before the big surprise!!
She wanted to throw a surprise party for one of her best friends!
Yup, this guy!
It’s his 15th birthday, plus he is off to High School so she is super sad he’s moving on and wanted to make it super special. She says most people assume they are a ‘thing’ (and I guess thats expected when a guy and a girl hang out as much as they do at their age) but the one true ‘thing’ they have had is a strong friendship where they have been able to support each other through all the ups and downs of Junior High and this guy deserves a fun surprise! For planning her first party, I think she did a great job!
She spent some time on Pinterest and here’s what she put together! Hope you can find some inspiration and plan your own surprise party soon!!
INVITE
She got a hold of his baby picture and put this together.
MEMORY LANE
She blew up some balloons and hung as many pictures as she could of this past year…oh and a few baby pictures to embarrass him just a little more!
What a fun way to reminisce about these past years and how much all of their friendships have grown.
A FEW OF HIS FAVORITE THINGS
She threw together a few of his favorite things for the party food. Favorite comfort food always makes things better, right!
Pigs in a blanket were the perfect fit for him, even if by chance they are not his favorite.
She didn’t know if donuts were one of his favorite things but the catchy sign was a must since he is off to high school and leaving the Junior High crew behind. They sure are gonna miss him!
CANDY BAR GREETING
She grabbed a few candy bars and wrote this candy gram. You can’t go wrong with a variety of candy to choose from.
CUPCAKE TOPPERS
I think this was one of my favorite party details!
These cupcake toppers are the best!!
FAVORITE MEMORIES
She asked everyone to share a favorite memory of him. I’m sure he will have a good laugh reading them later.
15 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT THIS GUY
He’s turning 15 so they needed 15 things to share with him.
I thought this was a great idea to have handy as all the guests arrived.
PHOTO BOOTH FUN
Gotta keep those memories so why not with some fun photo booth props!
I’m so glad Caitlyn had the inspiration to throw this party. One, so I could post a new party on the Gala Gals since it’s been a while and second, because now I can have not only one but 2 party planning helpers. Aunt Heidi, I think you’ll be proud of our future Gala Gal!
